Dal Tarka

Dal tarka is a popular Pakistani and North Indian dish that is made with split chickpeas (chana dal) or other dried split pulses and mixed with a blend of savory spices. Whole spices are infused in oil (this is called tarka), which is then drizzled over the dal.
